Kaminsky Resigns Position as Artistic Director of Symphony Space

The New York Times, January 10, 2014 – Laura Kaminsky, the artistic director of Symphony Space since 2010, and the overseer of its music programming since 2006, said on Friday that she had resigned her position. In a telephone interview, she described her departure as amicable, and said that she would stay on until March 30. But both she and a spokesman for the hall also said that they were parting ways because of “differences in artistic vision for the future” of the space. A press announcement said that the space would begin a search for Ms. Kaminsky’s successor immediately. [Photo: Joyce Dopkeen, The New York Times]
