This is Kaminsky’s third collaboration with Cygnus Ensemble, a unique consort comprising flute, oboe, two guitars, violin and cello. Previously, she wrote Catastrophe, for the “Sounding Beckett” project at Classic Stage Company in  2012, and followed that with Homage to Havel for the 2013 Cutting Edge Concerts Series. Following her substantial 2009 duo for violin and piano, Wave Hill, Kaminsky returns to the idiom with a new work for violinist Julie Rosenfeld and pianist Peter Miyamoto, undercurrent, commissioned by the University of Missouri School of Music, where it will premiere in April 12, 2016.
